About Jack
I Build Visual Worlds That Feel Real
I’m Jack Meltzer, a production designer, props master, photographer, and director. I build visual worlds through texture, color, found objects, analog tools, and a love of discovering the perfectly imperfect set piece.
Originally from Stamford, Connecticut, I bring East Coast resourcefulness and a hands-on approach to every project, whether I’m building a set, sourcing a singular object, framing an image, or directing a story. I am drawn to work with atmosphere, character, and a sense of history, creating worlds that feel lived in, images that linger, and details that make every frame feel real.

What I do
Crafting Worlds Through Design, Objects, Image, and Story
I shape visual work across production design, props, photography, and directing, bringing ideas into focused execution. Each project balances story, detail, and atmosphere, creating cohesive worlds through environments, objects, light, and carefully considered visual choices.

Production Design
I build spaces that give stories a place to live.
From early references to the final frame, I use color, texture, furniture, and unexpected details to create environments that feel collected, specific, and full of clues.

Props Master
I use objects to reveal character.
Whether sourcing, building, altering, or borrowing, I focus on the details that give a set its history, from the hero prop to the overlooked object in the back of a drawer.

Photography
I make images that feel like memories.
Working across analog and digital formats, I use light, texture, expressive faces, and unusual angles to create photographs with atmosphere, mystery, and staying power.

Directing
I tell visual stories with mood, rhythm, and point of view.
Across music videos, commercials, and short form film, I bring image, sound, performance, color, and movement into one cohesive visual language, crafted, alive, and slightly unexpected.
